I can not find any reviews about this steel anywhere..does anyone have experience with it? I know it's not stainless but is it like 3v or does it rust more like 1095?

I might be think of something else but, Cruwear is similar to CTS-204p, which is similar to M390, which is similar to CPM-20CV. Good luck getting it to rust., It might, but it will take a hell of a lot of effort.

Surprised you can't find Cruwear reviews. Spyderco did some Cruwear knives. I'd expect tons of reviews.

Cruwear is relatively close to 3V, depending on what you read. Bark River says it is as tough as 3V but with better edge-holding. Other people say that Cruwear has better edge-holding but is not as tough. This may also depend on the heat treat and Bark River probably runs at lower RC than some other knives you can find in Cruwear. Spyderco has produced a number of models in Cruwear but I don't have enough experience with mine to draw any conclusions. I have several Spyderco knives in M4 and it slowly forms patina under my normal use. I haven't detected any patina on my Cruwear yet.

I did see some spyderco reviews but figured since it was with folders and a different company it might work out a bit different

Cru-wear has 7.5%Cr, so its corrosion resistant is similar to: 3V, Z-wear, Spectrum-wear, PD#1. Almost same wear resistance as: zwear, spectrumwear and pd1.

It's a a powdered 1st gen. carbon (non stainless) tool steel that fills the gap between 3v and m4

A good balance between those steels.
Carpenter has a version called pd1

4v is also another steel in between 3v and m4 but is tougher at higher hardness

Cru-wear will outcut the 3v but still retain lots of toughness. Less reactive then 4v but seems to sharpen better in my experience but nothing is set in stone there are ranges of performance from the same steel depending on the heat treatment.
