Ordered a Gunny Hunter in Elmax and an Essential in M4. To my surprise the primary grind lines are extremely asymmetric on both :/
Anyone have a similar experience?

I have a bunch of bark river knives and all have really nice convex grinds, sharp when delivered, cut well.

Bark River Grind Lines?

Some are better then others, it's the nature of hand ground knives.

I just gifted this to a granddaughter this past weekend; really a very nice knife...

I would like to see a picture of it for myself. No experience with that knife, but I have bought a knife or two over the years with poor blade grinds. I would send it back now if you are unsatisfied, or else it will likely bother you every time you use it.

I need more Barkies only got 3 my beloved Gunny, 2009 custom micro tusk, 1st production run lil caper....think I need a few more!

Have had really good luck with Barkies in the past. Just a lil frustrating droppin 5 hundo on a couple and them not being even close.

Then send 'em back after calling ahead. I've known those guys for over ten years, have broken bread and laughed with the crew, and am sure you'll get satisfaction/replacement/or money back. Ask for Mike.

Agreed, if the asymmetrical grind lines bother you don't hesitate to send it in for a re-grind.

Bark River is always willing to do whatever it takes to make their customers satisfied.

The term "Barkies" should entail having any knives stripped from their respective owners possession.

Wow! That ones a looker! Never seen a Bark River like that. Is that their version of a sharpfinger?

That's the Bark River -- Bosnian Skinner.

Inspired by the Persian style knives popular in eastern Europe, the design was a collaboration between Mike Stewart and the Serbian sheath maker that was supplying some sheaths for BRK&T at the time.

A very unusual Bark River Knife, featuring a 5" double hollow grind blade.

The carved sheath pictured above is a custom sheath from Sharpshooter embellished for me by Jacquie Stewart.

This is the Bark River version of the classic Sharpfinger, the BRK&T 2008 Custom -- Fingerling.

You can come get them from my cold dead hands!

Nah, JK. You're probably right. Along with Spydies, San Fran, or Frisco.
