I have seen some knives around here that are made with BRKT blanks.I was wondering where to get some?

There aren't any that I know of. However, a few people have rehandled their BRKT knives and gotten great results. From what I understand, Mike doesn't ship half-done knives, or even seconds for that matter. He only makes full knives.

True. I have tried to get a few seconds or blanks, and they won't sell them. Seconds are reground into smaller knives.

The only way you can get a BRKT blank (or something near that) to play with is to go to one of their Grind-Ins. For the price of admission, you get a blank or a piece of steel, handle material, and expert help on making your dreamed-of blade.

It's a lot of fun!

Thanks for chiming in, Gramps. I'd forgotten about the Grind-In option, because I've never had the privilege of going to one. *sigh* One of these days.

If you've seen very many of his knives, you'd know that he ships seconds all the time.

You sure you're not thinking of Fallkniven blanks? I've seen those mentioned quite frequently, but have never heard of BRKT blanks being sold.

I have Fallkniven blanks already.
There was a thread in the sale section where a member was selling a fox river made from a blank or so they claimed.(it was orange G-10 handled IIRC)

Man, this is just blatant trolling if I ever saw a post:thumbdn: No one says you have to like the man or his company's designs, but don't bring that drivel to a knife fight:barf:. The knives shipped out from BRKT are as decent a quality as any of the majors in knife making and some are customs:thumbup:

I concur. I have Fallknivens and Barkies. Both are fantastic in fit and finish. If you don't like yours, you can ship them to me.

A while back, I tried to get a couple of mini-C blanks from DLT Trading. I even asked them to check with Bark River if DLT didn;t have any. They replied that BRKT won;t sell their blanks so, probably, you've seen knives that guys rehandled, like someone said.

It's understandable - their logo is on the blade and if they sell a blank and the buyer does a poor job putting the scales on, it looks bad on BRKT.
