Let me tell you something that you might already know - Bark River makes a solid knife. Better off - Bark River makes YOUR knife. Bark River makes an heirloom, a tool, and a piece to be proud of. The overall aesthetic of this knife (we are speaking of the Boone w/ stag handle) is phenomenal. The stag grip is unique and feel amazing in[my] hand. The convex edge is particular, and it is difficult to sharpen without research or knowledge of a convex edge. This alone makes the knife unique. The sheath is amazing, and definitely one of the highest quality sheaths I have ever held. The steel itself shows that if steel is heat-treated properly, it becomes the steel of God. This knife in particular feels like it could slay a dragon, as the edge is still sharp enough to shave with after using it to baton enough kindling to burn a fire for 3 hours (from scratch). This knife is rarely from my hip, and I hope that one day it will rarely be from my own son's and/or grandson's. If I am without children, I want it to be buried with me - on my hip. Overall it is a great tool, and it is a work of art among knives. I have owned many, and this one is MY knife. Many of you know the feeling of something being yours, and in the same sense you know the feeling of something being YOURS. I would recommend Bark River to any fellow seeking a knife, and I would recommend it twice to a fellow seeking an heirloom knife. Bark River, I commend you.

I did not realize pictures were the norm, and I do apologize. The following link should be to a series of poor pictures I have taken of my knife. As I mentioned in a below comment, I had an incident which resulted in a slight loss on the tip of the blade. This has been remedied. I have also added some light file-work into the spine of the blade. Enjoy.
