Just got my Bark River Northstar from the UPS man. Oh my WOW...is this knife awesome. Shaving sharp out of the box. Can't wait to put it through the paces.
Only bad thing is i can't EDC it. Oh well, thats what weekends are for.

And nice speedy delivery from DLT trading, ordered it Sat. it arrived today(Tues). Now to see if I can keep from buying anymore knives for the next few days. :)

I _love_ my BRK mini-Northstar. And their customer service is amazingly responsive.

It's a shame they don't get more talk on BFC.

Ive got a Woodsman from a trade headed my way...will post my views..

does anyone know how to contact the makers ? sent an email to the owner (?) on knifeforums to no reply...

tomb lin, a lot of business email addresses overload. Try just posting on the forum or PT'ing him over there.

Had the use of a BRK Highland for a couple of week, loaned to me by a fellow Aussie knife enthusiast. Thanks Jdee.

Was totally amazed at how well the full flat ground convexed edge blade sliced and how long it kept an extremely usable edge for. Was also impressed with how well it responded to a light strop to bring the edge back to hair popping sharpness.

Looks like BRK have an extensive range of blade style and handle materials to suit most outdoor enthusiasts needs. Will definitely be adding a few to my collection in the future, have my eye on their Mini Canadian, Fox River, Gameskeeper and their Teddy Bowie, just to kick things off.

It's too sharp, IMHO. Definately not for the average knife owner.

Barkies are awesome! I use the Mikro Canadian and Mountaineer a lot (the Mountaineer is like a classy looking RAT-3!!). The Wolf River is my favourite hunting knife and I'm seriously considering getting a Sandstorm.

I used the massive Forester in SAR operations in some flooded villages and it was amazing.

Mike Stewart is a great guy as well. He hungs out at KF (there's a Bark River forum over there). I don't know if he answers e-mails, buyt he replies to private topics.

Mike and BRK&T are very good about things, if you PT him he will answer

Got a Fox River not to long ago. What a great knife! Bark River seems to be one of the best bang for the buck companies out there. I've never had a knife come that sharp out of the box! They will be one of my "go to" knife makers.

And as for them being to sharp, WTF!

My BRK&T Teddy in Antique Ivory Micarta. I made a new lefty sheath for it.
