I have a few Barkies, but I seen something tonight that confussed me. I cut up an apple for an evening snack, and afterward washed it off. I seen something I have not seen on the blade before.

It is a Huntsman with sheeps horn. After getting a nice patina on it I saw what says "Michigan State Chapter" under that is "TF 2006" and under that is a long number, I cant make all of them out.

Any info on this?

Thanks,
John

"One knife to rule them all..." :D

I'd say that if you started calling it your 'precious' that you're in trouble, but everyone I know with a BRKT blade calls theirs that!

OK I made out the bottom, "numbered edition 96 of 100" which has the same thing on the box. I guess it did have a script on it and the orginal owner had it removed by BRK&T because it looked new.

Bark River has a forum at the other place. Mike Stewart posts over there, and could probably answer any questions.

Mike sold those knives this spring. They were made as a limited edition for the Michigan Chapter of the Wild Turkey Federation and he had some left over. They were $100.00 and you could choose to have the etching ground off or left as is. Yours was ground off and the acid brought up the latent etching. I have two, they are excellent knives enjoy.

Thanks, Mystery solved.

I just thought it was cool how a patina brought up something that I did not see before.

Thanks again,
John
