Does anybody own one of these? If so- how is it in the hand and just how rigid is the blade. From descriptions it seems like one heck of a slicer. I have never heard much about this one so I thought I'd ask as I have one coming in from Kniveshipfree ( red micarta, along with a couple of presents). My first Barkie as I could not wait until my Northstar, mini & Micro Canadian in blue G10 w. mosaic pins come in.

I don't have 1. However I do have a mini-northstar which is thicker that this 1. They took the kitchen utility and put different scales on it. This 1 will slice. My MNS is pretty good at it and the BT is a good bit thinner stock. The Northstar that you have ordered is a great cutter also.

I've never heard of a Barkie that was not a great slicer- it's just too bad that I have never seen a Barkie in person before. Just like a lot of knives that I have bought (Sebenza, Switchback, Razel....). really looking forward to a new obsession!

I have been impressed with them. The blade is so thin that it is an incredible slicer. Mike says it cuts like a laser and though I have never cut with a laser---pretty impressive!!
