I just picked up a black canvas micarta scaled Lil' Chute. It' marked First Production Run, and seems that there is only 150 to be made (at least to start). Does anyone have any information about these? It's as well made as other Bark Rivers I have, is very sharp, and came in a Kydex cross-draw sheath. Any input is appreciated. Thanks, and Merry Christmas to all you Cutters! Bill

About all I know is what I read at the www.dlttradingcompany.com website. I bought a couple of Bark Rivers from them. Here is a description of the Chute with some details.
The Lil' Chute is a "Special Edition" we are going to do and see if there is interest in a full Production Run. This knife is a bit of a Departure from the knives we have made. It is a "Mortised Tang". This is a very Old-Traditional Method of Construction. The Tang is Fully Exposed along the Top of the Handle and Sandwiched down into the handle. It is actually a Full Tang KNife but the lower portion of the Tang is Covered by the Handle material. We have Decided to make all of these with "Finger Grooves" and all of them will be supplied with a "Sharpshooter Systems Kydex Sheath". We will only be making 150 of these. The Lil Chute is more compact than the Sandstorm but is actually Thicker in the Blade Steel. It is a chunky handful. Here are the Specs: Overall Length:8.5 Inches Blade Length:3.875 Inches Blade Steel:12C27 Blade Thickness: .187 Inch Hardness:58 rc Guard: Nickel Silver Weight:6.5 Ounces
