Hey gang,
I just bought a BR Mini-Northstar a couple of weeks ago and took it on a duck hunting trip to southern Illinios last weekend. (see my other thread http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=802614) The hunting wasn't that great, but I did have a chance to breast out a few geese and 1 mallard duck with it. Honestly, I was impressed with how nimble it was to use, especially while doing intricate slicing around the breast of a small duck. It is small enough to be nimble, but big enough that you have a good hold on the handle. Oh...and it's RAZOR sharp from the factory...
Other than breasting out birds, I used it for minor tasks around the hunting blind... Cutting small pine branches for camo on the blind, cutting up apples for lunch, etc... It might be my favorite knife for small game hunting now!
Thanks for reading
Nick
-PS- Sorry that I don't have any action shots of the knife. My dad tried to take pics of me breasting out a goose, but the shots turned out horrible.
