I came across this knife. http://www.knifesupply.com/eshop/10Expand.asp?ProductCode=BA213MGC

I really like it. I'm looking for something that is made of 52100 steel. I want it to use for boning out deer and kitchen use. The blade above is 5.5 inches in length which I think is great for boning out deer. I prefer a stiff blade to a flexible one.

Unfortunately, the blade above is sold out. I love the design and the length. Could anybody refer me to a similar design made from 52100 steel that is for sale. Or perhaps you can find the one above for sale on line. I would buy it! I just cant' find it.

I love this steel.

thanks,
Joe

The Old Hickory Butcher knife made by Ontario Knives is very similar in looks. The blade is "high carbon steel", but I am not sure which type specifically. Very affordable, but useful from what I hear.

It's based on the Russell Green River knives, you can find the a 5"-blade version for <$20 at various sites online, or go with the Ontario version similarly priced, but they are probably 1095 steel rather than 52100 if that makes a difference to you.
