Hello guys. I figured this would be the place to ask this question. I have been looking into getting a Bark River Nebula for a while now, and I really love everything about it. I like the Aurora also in A2, but not sure if i want a blade that will patina so quickly, and i happen to love the hidden tang on the Nebula. Please don't think this is a silly question, but was wondering if anyone here has either of these, and would love to know which one you guys think would be better for edc and bushcraft. would .156" be thick enough for batonning, and is the A2 a lot better than 12c27? would the aurora (full exposed tang) be a lot stronger or better? I know that this is a lot, but anything would help. I love both of these knives, and am really torn between them. thanks everyone in advance for all of your patience.

I cant notice any diffrence except A2 holds a edge a little longer but 12c27 is the best stainless IMO its so easy to sharpen etc.

I haven't had a Nebula but I did own an Aurora and several other Barkies. I don't think you'll have any problem with sharpness as long as you touch it up on the strop every once in a while. Barkies come with insanely sharp convex ginds/edges. I think you'd be happy with either knife. The main differences are that one (the Nebula) has a hidden tang and a scandi grind with a convex edge, the Aurora has a full tang and full convex grind. The difference in performance of the two blade steels would be hard to notice in my opinion. I've had a few of each and they both perform excellently.
