Is this Bark Rivers bushcrafter knife? The local gun shop has one in ivory micarta for $135. Would that be a good buy? Would this be a good knife,? or is another model of their knives better?

The Bark River Nebula is BRKT's version of their Aurora in Stainless 12c27 and with a Scandi grind. Fair price. Hard to find. I'd grab it. In theory I have one in Natural Micarta coming. Definitly designed as a bushcrafter.

Scandi grind with a convex final edge. Nice stainless knife that holds up pretty much the same as BRK&T A2. Hidden tang, very comfortable handle. I have one in blaze orange.

$135.00 for the Nebula in Ivory Micarta seems like a good deal!!! I'd go for it.
I have this one in Black Canvas Micarta & I like using it:

i had one for a while and enjoyed it quite a bit. my tastes changed though so i traded it away.

if that is your style, i would say that its a very capable knife and i think its a pretty good looking choice too. i wore my ivory micarta handled one to a wedding even...

Is this Bark Rivers bushcrafter knife?

Well yes and no.

The Northstar was their original Bushcraft design, followed by the bigger Aurora.

Next came the Stainless Nebula, …from MikeStewart:

The Nebula is Our Stainless Entry into the Bushcraft Area.

We have used 12C27 for this knife and we have also used it in .156" thick. The Nebula is Hidden Tang and is lighter than the Aurora. The Two knives are very much alike. On the Nebula we have extended the Self Guard down a little more and Have use Our Convex Scandi Grind.

Balance is on the First Finger.

Here is the Top View of the Handle.

The Contour is like the Aurora but a Little Thinner.

You can actually See the Ricasso inside the handle Set at the top.

The Full Width of the Ricasso is inside the handle and the Tang goes 3.5 Inches into the handle.

The Nebula uses the Same Bushcraft Sheath of the Aurora.

I may get a couple, if they still have them. If anybody want one, let me know.
