My favorite swords ever!! These things are sweet. The only thing I would change is to add a guard as they are the sharpest knives/sword I own by a wide margin.

Awesome pics. Barkies come awful sharp don't they?

Those look great. They remind me a lot of the willow leaf dao style of swords, only a bit lighter. I'd bet they would be amazing martial arts swords. Where can you find them? I looked on the bark river site and didn't see anything other than knives.

Thanks!

Thanks. Still figuring out the boundaries of the forum. I do have one question about them though. They're made of "0170-6 Chrome Vanadium Steel" - anyone have experience with this steel? I found a site saying it was very similar to O-1. Just wondering if it would have the hardness/toughness and shock resistance of a user in a blade that size. HI has sorta turned me off to wall hangers.

The steel -- and its heat treatment -- is appropriate to the blade.

They are apparently only available no the secondary market.

Well, I just plopped down for a Bolo and Tarwar, so that makes any discussion of these blades thoroughly theoretical for me at least. Hope they make more or I can find one or a pair somewhere in a year or so.

I have a BR Golok (same blanks, same heat treat, different grind)...use it for all kinds of stuff. It's awesome...I beat the heck out of it and it keeps ticking.

Nasty, what'd the BR golok run you, if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks.
