Hi Everyone,

I don't have any Bark River knives and am thinking about one of these 2. Looking for something small, stainless and EDC. Having one hell of a time trying to choose between the two. Any one have experience with these that can add insight? Just trying to make this oh so difficult decision a little easier. :)
Thanks!

The PSK is a badass little knife. I've got like 6 of them. You can stow 'em all over the place and with the handle design you can choke right up on it with some safety and it's a great cutter. I'm a sucker for a little fixed blade that can ride in a jeans pocket *comfortably* and meet all my needs. Oh, and BRKT makes a great full convex grind.

Edit: The PSK I refer to is from ca. 2007 with the 12c27 stainless. I'm not sure about the newer ones.

I edc a psk in 154CM, and have for about a year. It's a great knife. I did have a little chipping, after I took the edge too thin, but once I thickened it up it was fine, and has been since.

Thanks for the input! Been looking at that really small EPK. That is tiny! The PSK seems to be the most ergo design though.

It depends on how small you want it.
In most of my pants pockets, I can fit up to 7" OAL. Nice and slim, and doesn't "print" easily.
The Bark River Necker 2 in CPM-3V has a "perfect" 50/50 blade/handle ratio of 3.5" blade and 3.5" handle.
7" OAL.
Real tough steel.
Still fits in my pocket, but I don't know about yours.
It's a "Little Big Knife".

I love my PSK, in 154CM. I think it's the perfect size, for a 3 finger handle. Actually the pinky touches that last part of the handle, so it's a 3 1/2 finger handle. I can only imagine that the Pocket Bravo has a 3 finger handle. I don't own it, but it's shorter OAL, yet has a longer blade. Maybe it's due to having more ricasso on the PB, and the larger finger notch of the PSK that make the difference. Your hand will be further back on the PB. The PSK is cheaper as well.

I've had the older Sandvik stainless PSK in Nat Micarta stowed in my work-pack for 5 years now. It's in a leather sheath as I didn't much fancy the kydex original. I can strongly recommend this knife, very, very handy for a lot of serious tasks, has a lot of appeal and brings a smile to your face. As it's intended, it could help you out in tricky situations.

Probably for me, the smaller the better. I tend to get weighted down with a lot of cr@p in my pockets. :) Sounds like the PSK is well loved. I definitely see the sleek design as a positive and the pocket bravo seems more "tactical" looking for a small edc.
