I used to sell knives at gun shows, mostly Barkies and Marble's. When I think of some of the knives I sold that I still wish I had . . . sigh. Well, I still have about 25 Barkies, so I can't say that I have a shortage, but every now and then I order another one. Got one in yesterday that seems like it's going to be a very handy addition, the Ptarmigan. It's quite a bit thinner than most of the Bark River knives, about .10" thick, and has the 52-100 blade still (which I am a fan of). It feels very comfortable in my hand, and the thin profile makes me think it'll be a very good slicer.
My initial impression of it is very favorable. Anybody have any experience using one of these?
