I have a bark river bravo 1.25 in 3v with an uneven grind, I tried to contact bark river by mail without any luck but in the website it appears a fill out form for warranty claims. Should I send the knife without having confirmation first? And is that something that the warranty will cover? It’s not my first brk but it is the first time a knife from them has an issue it bothered me enough to contact them. the show side is about an inch longer in the show side, I would upload pictures but idk how.

That's unfortunate to hear - I've generally had very good experiences with BR knives. If it were me, I'd want confirmation before sending the knife to them. So did you fill out the form for warranty claims?

Did you buy it from a distributor? Why not reach out to them for an exchange? That’s probably fastest.
I don’t remember which one, prob dlt or ksf but as the maniac that I am I probably emptied my email inbox because I can’t find any confirmation mail.

They can probably look it up for you. Might have to call customer service and give them your email to ask.

Not yet, I’m in no hurry and I thought it would be better to hear from them first. Out of five I currently own this is the only one with an issue that affects performance, it’s a quick fix and people seem to have a good experience with their warranty.

I would fill out the warranty claim form on their website. That's why it's there.

Why empty your inbox? Just delete spam and advertising but keep the emails about transactions or important information.
To save time, instead of going one by one I just delete everything and All my important stuff is in my work account.

No one here is going to be able to answer your questions about the BRK warranty. Either call them or pack it up with the shipping funds and your contact info and send it in.

I don't know, I once sent a knife into Bark River for warranty that came in with an uneven grind, they then told me that the knife had been put to a grinder (it had been but that's not what made the grind uneven) and said they would treat it as a spa treatment rather than warranty service that I had to pay $40 or so for. Kind of felt a bit cheated. Granted, most of the wear on the knife was caused by me, even though there's no way I made the grind so uneven by belt sharpening it once and all I was asking them to fix was the grind but it is what it is.

As long as it was recent enough, you can search the trash

I must not be understanding this. You accepted and were OK enough with the grind of the knife to keep it and use it. Then you took it to a GRINDER for your own reasons, but apparently not to fix the grind. (A grinder on a good knife?) A grinder is for lawn mower blades and truly F'd up hatchets and machetes.

You admit that most of the wear on the knife was from your use, then you made the grind worse (so uneven as you say) by taking it to a belt sharpener and THEN you sent it in for warranty? What were they supposed to do? Looking at the knife after it has been used, ground on with a grinder and then even more screwed up by using a belt system on it to try to "fix" the uneven grinds, how are they supposed to know what it looked like before you started in on it? They know it didn't leave the shop with signs of wear from use and grinder marks.

I think $40 to correct all of that was a bargain.
