Bark River has a subforum over at www.knifeforums.com

Just looking at the list of threads there will give you much more info than people can repeat here, and Bark River (like several other manufacturers) literally makes something for everyone.

Not sure if they have a bowie type in regular production... but in the 3-4" range I strongly recommend the Liten Bror and the Gunny. I really love Bark River knives.

J Man,
Alot depends on your intended use and your budget. The Liten Bror certainly is a fine blade - a nice compromise between the scandi grind and a convex grind. Most every one runs upwards from about $190 or so.

You might look at the Northstar or mini-Northstar. A finely pointed yet stout blade.

Then again, if your budget allows, and you didn;t care for the Liten Bror, the Bravo-1, Canadian Special, or.....well, any Bark River is a joy to use and pride to own.

Agreed. I have a Bark River stainless steel Gunny and a Bark River Bravo Necker. Two of my finest.

I have a Northstar and think it's a great knife. May eventually get a Mini NS, but will definitely be getting at least one larger and one smaller Bark River.

BTW- Who's Derrick, and where do I see what he's got in stock?
