Just some quick impressions of the knife, haven't gotten to use it much yet. This is my first knife with a convex edge. I don't know why but I never liked the look of the blade tapering down without a visible edge bevel. Well, I got past it and ordered the Woodland in Blaze Orange G-10. First impressions are that it is a small but very beefy knife. It is slightly longer than my Dozier straight personal but considerably thicker and heavier. It definitely feels very solid in the hand. I cut a few things with that convex edge and it sliced through like a laser. It seems kind of strange the way that deceptive edge just passes through materials. The stock is fairly thick at the top and just tapers down to almost nothing.
I really like the blaze orange G-10, I have a weakness for colored slabs. Of course this one guarantees you won't lose it in the grass if you drop it. The G-10 is shaped and finished perfectly, I feel the quality is well above the $75 I paid for it. And it's a first production run to boot - now I'll really feel guilty when I start to give it a workout. Oh yeah, the sheath. It's adequate but this baby cries out for a kydex sheath.
Here's a pic from Bayou Lafourche Knifeworks where I bought it. They're a top notch dealer - shipped the knife the day they got payment and they have a link to UPS tracking right on their site. Nice!
