Hey guys, my wife and I are looking for some kitchen knives and we both like the look and price of what bark river has to offer. I know they have awsome quality outdoors knives but I'd like to hear if anyone has some if they could give me some feedback on the quality and feel of them

mike and his guys make good stuff but i cant say i hae ever used or even seen the kitchen line so i cant really ssay how thin or how well they work

I've got a couple -- they're quite good. The original chef is a 10" that is bigger than most people want/need, but the 8" Chef/Utility II is just about perfect for most people. Unbelievably good performance, once you get get comfortable with touching up on a strop.

All of their kitchen knives have good slim blade geometry, and are great slicers.

I also have the original chef/utility, which is comparable in size to a 6" Wusthof chef (itself a very handy utility blade). Unlike the others, it doesn't have a full-height convex grind, so there's a bit of a shoulder partway up the blade. That detracts a tiny bit from its slicing performance, but it's still excellent.
