Beautiful. Amazing.

Honestly, big fan of the compound-hollow grind tanto. Not crazy about this swedge. Maybe I need to evolve, just not feeling the top of this blade shape. Although it looks great closed.

I like the Barker in the pic that looks like it's on acid  I also like the hollow grind tanto blade. I use to hate Tantos but after useing one for a couple weeks the style and functionality grew on me.

Gorgeous. I prefer the full flat ground Shiro blades, but this is a marvel to behold.

I have a strong feeling that most people would get it in hand and expect something spectacular based on the photos and then be disappointed with what they actually see in real life. Not because it's a bad piece, but because their expectations led them to believe they'd see in real life the same thing they see in the photos, and that won't happen.

They're really good photos and if i made a knife I'd want the same person to photograph it the same way, simply because people are suckers for high quality photos. There's a reason photography can be a profitable endeavor. It's like putting lipstick on a pig but if it works, it works.

Truth be told, that knife is horrendous, but the photography not only mitigates the ugliness, it looks so damned good that it makes people think it looks good. So kudos to the photographer who could so adeptly apply lipstick to a pig. That's some real, honest to God, talent.

No, it's actually a really cool knife in person

The Hokkaido is a staggeringly well-executed piece, Megalobyte Megalobyte , and your pics are gorgeous, as usual. I'm glad you were able to find one to purchase and are so pleased with it.
