Barkriver Fox River vs North Star

I've been looking at the Bark river Knives and I am having trouble deciding which one to get.
I know the North Star is designed for bush craft work but I was wondering how the Fox River knife would work for the same purpose. I know it's slightly bigger and heavier and was wondering how that comes into play along with the blade shape.
Some of you prefer larger blades while others don't. If I need a big knife I have a Randall mod 14 that I've have had for thirty years and don't intend to part with it. It's big enough for me but not all that great for small jobs but then thats why I always carry Swiss Army knife.
I've also been looking at the Mini North Star which is close in size to the Eriksson 510 and martini moras I have. They seem to be popular and to tell the truth I kinda like them to, but I want to get a nice knife. Im sure you understand.
Now that I have mentioned the little plastic handled moras does anyone have an oppinion about the Orange plastic handled martini mora. It's comperable in size and construction to the Eriksson 510 but I haven't read anything about them.
What are your thoughts? Thanks

I like what I've seen of the Bark River knives, though I don't have one yet, and deciding amongst their offerings would be a chore. Moras receive high praise here and elsewhere. Since you are still undecided and still looking, check out the Dall DeWeese (1902-30) and Outer's (1930-41) knives by MSA. Marbles quit making them in the 1930's and 1940's respectively, but had a reissue in 2003. and some are still out there. These are 1095HC (I'm addicted!). Sweet knives with a history, and still reasonably priced. A Google search will turn them up.

I don't have any Bark Rivers yet but my first three (Fox River, OMF, Golok) are in the mail. It is my understanding that the Fox River and Northstar are the same size. The Fox River has a drop point while the Northstar has a spear point. Also the Northstar has a skeletonized handle making it slightly lighter and moving the balance point.

My opinion would be to get the Fox River if it is meant as a hunting knife. If not go for the Northstar or wait for the upcoming Aurora.

or hey, get both and you wont be disspointed. I have a North Star and its great. I hear the Fox River is just as good, blade length is a little longer @ 4.25 inches while the NorthStar is 4 inches. The NS is better at drilling holes too.
