Verry Innteresssting!!!;) Great choices in the handle materials!!
Can they be mailed to you, Â??o_O
Hello Charlie ,
Unfortunately I don't think so . The French post works officially. But they have asked to their clients to send only very important parcels. When a parcel travel from hands to hands it can contaminate a lot of persons . So we will wait the end of this sad period .

Â

UVGI!! We must invent an ultra-violet germicidal irradiator for knife packages!! Then, if we install them at all Post Offices, and home-Postal boxes, we can ship knives without fear!!:D

This is a very important parcel in my opinion. Warthog tusk is a great stuff, I am surprised we don't see more knives with it.

Hello ,
Because of the containment we have had to develop our own production of Barlow

Here are the first ones made by J. Latreille :

This guy has golden hands! I also have a soft spot for the white last one, overall.

Wonderful Barlows! First of all it's nice to see Barlows being produced ANYWHERE!!:)
But to have these beautiful knives coming from JL, and from the Land of the Laguiole, is very Special!!
Congratulations to you both; to Jerome for his prodigious talent, and to J-M for facilitating the creation!!

Those are beautiful, the wait would be killing me.

Too bad UV doesn't penetrate solid materials. It works well for drinking water, though. I think the postal service should install gamma irradiation tunnels, like they use for food preservation. Put it on a conveyor belt and let it go past the gamma source, all living things are now dead. Just make sure the operators don't respond to a jammed conveyor by looking inside the tunnel before the source is dropped into containment. That happened at a food processing plant and the operator showed up at the doctor's office with what appeared to be a severe sunburn over half of his body, with a very clear demarcation line that ran diagonally across his torso. It was too late for him, it proved to be fatal.
