What can some of the experts here tell me about BARLOW knives? An older brand I'm sure. My uncle and I both have one and I actually really like it. I can't find info on it though.

As Dennis said, "Barlow" is generally known as a pattern rather than a brand.

At the time the Barlow pattern first appeared (several hundred years ago), pocket knife frames were forged by hand and the bolster was part of the frame. The longer larger bolsters on a Barlow made for a stronger knife that was easier to make. So the early Barlows were strong working knives.
