Baronyx Sharpening Stone Holder

Have two that I have been using on my 3x8” DMT stones for a while with zero problems. Great holders:)

These types of stone holders (generically) are often made in chromed carbon steel (not stainless), and others might be advertised as being made with all stainless steel hardware.

Depending on which they are, I've seen some mention here on the forum that the non-stainless versions sometimes show signs of rust if/when they're used with waterstones. I think some waterstone users might also use a bit of bleach in the water to keep mold at bay, when storing stones. More possible risk for corrosion there, if used with bleach. If used for oil stones, obviously no big deal (I have one, used this way). But even so, if some care is taken to clean them up a put 'em away dry, a little bit of rusting shouldn't be a big issue.

I use mine soaking wet and haven't had any rust, but the bolts and washers are galvanized while the nuts are aluminum. So just try not to gouge or scratch the bolts and you'll be fine, really. It'd actually be kind of hard to scratch them by accident since they're mostly shrouded by the rubber blocks. :)
