I will post pictures later, but I am trying to ID a knife. From the rust pitting it is carbon steel. It is stamped BARR BROS. on the blade, closer to the tip than the handle. Handle is black leather washers with U.S. stamped on it. Guard is thin piece of sheet metal. Blade is spear point single edge with a thinned portion on the back of the blade about two inches from the tip. It is over 30 years old since it was already rusted and worn when it was given to me 30 years ago. Thanks for any help.
