Barrage 581 or Torrent 890

Trying to decide which one to get. My Subrosa is the only assisted BM I have. All the rest are pretty much straight axis lock.

Both have the same blade length though the 581 is a bit thicker and M390 versus the 890's 154cm. Not familiar with the Axis-assist only the manual Axis. The Torrent is about $40-$45 cheaper than the Barrage. While the Barrage is heavier I don't consider a 5.02oz knife to be "heavy" so that's not a deal breaker either way. Between the two which would be your preference and why/ TIA


FWIW I'm leaning towards the Barrage at the moment.

I really like the barrage specially with the assist removed. It is easily the smoothest axis lock knife I own. M390 is also a great upgrade and I think its worth the extra coin.
 
I have a mini barrage with the M390 and I can't recommend the M390 enough .

As you know, Torrent uses liner lock Nitrous assist and no AXIS lock. Personally between two, I chose M390 and Assisted AXIS locked 581. Torrent is lighter and less aggressive look, and 154cm is very good stainless steel and easy to keep it sharp with standard stones (not diamond).
 
Went ahead and got the Barrage. With my gift cards it was $80 and change out the door. I liked the Torrent but the 581 is just a lot more knife. Thanks again for the replies.

I have both and I like both, but I like the 581 more so IMO you made a good choice.
