Just relaxing watching some of these amazing cars.
Hendrick seems to be buyin em up....especially that perty blue corvette for the Detroit HFH.

Anyone else watching?

I like watching the shows. They get some very interesting cars...
Hendrick is always buying stuff. I guess when you have as much money as he does, it makes it a lot more fun

Gotta' agree with that, Mike.
He also picked up GM chairman Akerson's super-sweet '58 Vette.
Rick makes Jay Leno look like a used car lot tire kicker. :D

My mom and her boyfriend go all the time he's sold cars to Jay Leno and Charles Bronson, he's always takin' cars out to the coast.

Shows like that have driven the auction prices sky high, when I was a kid my mother's boyfriend used to take me to these sealed bid auctions, I saw a guy buy 2 1988 IROCs, 1 hit in the front,1 hit in the rear.

Found out the followin' week he paid $1,200 for both and found out later it cost him another $1,000 to have the work done, so for $2,200 he got an $11,000 car.

I don't watch television much, but this car was at the Ford dealer showroom in Raton for one day on exhibit - a fundraiser for a children's hospital:

This was Babe Ruth's final car, a 1948 Lincoln Continental.

Before he died of cancer, Ruth spent many of his final days traveling across the country in his Lincoln, giving speeches and hitting lessons to little leaguers.

While that wouldn't be the kind of car I would buy ( like I could afford it anyway :D ), the fact that it was Babe Ruths car, is something that does interest me...

One one particular Barrett Jackson auction, they had a Continental that belonged to Howard Hughes. It didn't look out of the ordinary, but in the trunk was an air purification system for the inside of the car. I'm guessing he had it built when he was in his Germaphobe period
