Hahaha--well Cold Steel actually trademarked "SMATCHET" earlier in the year so I believe there's one right around the corner from them...though knowing how their product release schedule goes it'll probably be this time next year or the beginning of 2014 that they actually hit shelves. 
I do have access to the replica ones made by Windlass Steelcrafts and reports seem favorable. If ProTool Industries (the Woodman's Pal folks) decide to work with me I have a few designs I think they could execute well that, while not truly smatchets per se, would be well received by fans of the style (and aren't we all secretly at heart?) Gotta' keep those ideas close for now though.

In the meantime, smatchet lovers might be able to get a similar knife called a Vala from kukri-makers Himalayan Imports (they have a subforum here at BF). Handmade from 5160 steel. These were occasionally coming up for sale, and individual special orders are usually possible to the buyer's specs for size.

I don't know- not very symmetrical.Much better.
For something similar but bigger (and symmetrical), search "welsh wwi trench sword" for repros of the Welsh knife briefly used by the Royal Welsh Fusiliers.
I've wanted one since I saw an original in the Imperial War Museum in 1976.
