I can't find the thread where Uncle described the "faults" on this knife. If it was rust on the blade, the Dura Gloss wheel cleaner took it ALL off, and left the magic shine intact. If it was the crack in the handle (which may have been a raised grain line) it is so fine that it can only be felt with the edge of a thumbnail after a coat of Fiebing's - I haven't even put the lanolin on it yet. The kami's mark (here we go again) is a "+", not Sanu's "†". I've wanted the BAS for a long time, and am now sorry I put it off. Problem is, if I now try to carry all my favorites at one time, it would blow out the tires on my wheel chair. I sure as heck couldn't walk with all that iron on :D
 
Wal, that's Sanu. His "cross" does not always look the same. In fact, when he's got time on his hands he sometimes fixes it up so it looks like a stick man.
 
Yeah.:( And if Sanu is in more of a hurry he stamps his sign way to light and most of, or all of, it is buffed off in the final finish.
I "think" it was my UBE that Sanu made, but there's no way to tell because all of the mark is polished off.
I guess I need to look for the thread I bought it off of so I can print it off in order to have a provenance for it just in case.
One never knows what tomorrow may bring.;)

Glad you got a nice one Bro. Sometimes I think it's just our Elder Bro's eyesight and that in reality there's nothing wrong with the UBDOTD's or the PGA's.:rolleyes: ;)
