BAS kukri on Ebay

I see the weight listed is 16oz. If accurate, that's light for a BAS.

Karma. I clicked the link and the computer locked up -- so I won't click it again. I'm sure everything is just fine. No problem with this post as far as I can tell -- except that the link shut me down.

These have been appearing regularly on Ebay for the last month or two. The dealer must have a supply of them.

Woops! Just realised that my above paragraph was referring to a different khukuri on ebay. The seller I was referring to was a dealer from Great Britain selling the ceremonial style BAS in the patent leather scabbard.

They must be older ones--

Said the butt cap was engraved, and looked like the cupped ones that appear in pix in the faq with engraving on the side.

yeah but the seller mentions the HI garuntee. would you still honour it considering ts been sold on?

Bill, how many khukuris have you sold in the US? Roughly. It's hard to imagine them turning up in garage sales.

This kukri sold amazingly fast(less than 2 hours).
I guess someone knows a quality kukri when they see one. This one I have had since 98 and was one
of the older style with the fancy engraved butt caps. I am sure that Uncle Bill would honor the
warranty of any genuine HI kukri, although I doubt
he would ever need to. I still have my 15" AK which I bought at the same time and I decided to
keep the one I liked best and part with the slightly lighter one. Most of the kukris I have seen on Ebay have been lower quality ones, and rarely have I seen an HI one on there.

Thanks to Uncle Bill and all who replied.

I honestly don't know how many we've sold. We've been at it for 15 years and I toss out records when they reach five years of age. But, it's thousands.

Good to see that resale power is still there.

OT (but related, I think) = It's sad that there's been such a slump in the CRK Sebenza market. It started as a custom and now, in production format, has flooded and saturated its own market. Resale is low because nearly everybody that wants one has one, or can get one easily. Demand < Supply

Good to see that after 15 years, this is not the case with HI Khukuris.
