BAS Movie sighting

I watched "Entrapment" last night (Sean Connery and Katherine Jones). Pretty good movie. Somewhere in about the first 1/2 hr. or 45 min. a seedy shopkeeper whips out what looks like a BAS and tries to inflict damage on Ms. Jones. I could be wrong but it sure looked like an HI BAS to me!

I saw that movie also, and the Khukuri looked like a BAS model. One thing that I noticed, was the blade was pretty thick.
 
I caught the movie as well and it was definately an HI Khukuri. The quality was evident even during the brief period it was on screen.

Well, I finally rented the video and watched it over the weekend. It was a BAS without a doubt. Whether it was an HI or not is a little hard to tell but I think it was. I don't think it had a scrolled buttcap but we didn't always make them with one. It could have been an early edition. I stopped the video and was fairly certain there was brass inlay and scrollwork along the back of the blade which is an HI indicator for the BAS. Too bad they didn't give us credit!

If the movie, Knifefighter, ever gets off the ground the director told me he would give HI credit for khukuris.

I found myself being distracted from the khukuri by the Jones girl. She is a fine specimen, too!

As I recall, they got him into the White House :^)

The fact that he didn't stay had more to do with things that happened much later, like the excitement in Iran.

Glad to hear that Bill is still healthy even with the 50-60 hours per week in front of the screen!
