Based on a Viking Seax

This is a knife I just finished. I based the design on a Viking Seax. It is 1084 steel with a brass bolster and Redheart wood for the handle. The handle and bolster are affixed with two part epoxy and brass pins. I polished the blade using Eastwood greaseless compounds and regular buffing compounds.

That is a nice piece of metal! I really like the handle color and the finish and polish you have on it is pretty darn impressive!

looks good. glad you added a bolster as the originals had nothing to keep your hand from sliding and finding the edge of the blade.
