Picked up a Tanker Grey Basic 11 in a parking lot drug deal off the freeway! (well not really a drug deal, as technically INFI has not been classified as a drug yet).

Met a shady man in the parking lot, and exchanged cash for the Basic.

Had to break it out on the 4th to trim a branch. The mother in law asked me if I could remove a branch from the tree in the front yard that was in the way for the BBQ.

Love the handle so far. Plenty of room for my hands. I wear an XXL, which are normally a bit tight.

The handle does not seem tight or cramped.

Love the balance on the knife. Weight forward, to make much better chopping. But because of the overall weight of the knife, you can snap cut with it, without any worry about the knife flying out of your hand. Even without a lanyard. The knife is light enough to easily control.

Love it so far!

Thanks to my enabler for snagging this one for me (or should I say INFI pusher, because I know you sold me this for less than you paid, what is that saying.....first taste is free, next time it will cost you).

Congrats man. I love mine!

How do you compare it to your FBM LE? To be perfectly honest, with equal edges, the FBM LE still outchops it, but not by nearly as much as I thought it would. Not enough to warrant a vibrating hand.

'controlled substance' ;)

Offering up timber to feed your new Busse, thereby proving not all mothers-in-law are bad people. :D

Great score, great chopper! Congratulations!

My FBMLE has a polished convex edge, and it does chop well, and bite deep.

In a head to head chop off, with a supported chopping target, or chopping down a solid tree, I would not bet against the FBMLE. It just has more mass, and a taller blade height from edge to spine.

For trimming, or where you have some concern taking a large sharp knife to the shin, I would much rather have the Basic 11, because I can check a swing, even if I don't hit the target at all.

I am careful when chopping with the FBMLE, because there is a lot of mass there, which works for you when you have a solid target and no worry about checking the swing. There have been quite a few people on here post pics of their shins with stitches!

I think for outright chopping it will go to the KZII I have on order!!!!!

For sure, the Basic 11 is a keeper!.

I am so glad they went with .25 on this one!!!!!

Last time I was here visiting, she asked me to trim a couple trees in the back yard.

They also had a nice brush pile that I chopped on!

Now I just need to make a nice sheath. The shipping tube/ Gorilla tape make shift one will do till I get home!

I need me on of them there Bad Boys someday. I'm hoping salal won't roll the edge though.;):D

Everyone knows you can't actually use Busse's. You just have to look at them, and hope they don't roll from that!!!!!!

My father in law asked if I was not worried about ruining my knife chopping a "hard" tree. I just laughed. I told him I could cut a sun roof in his SUV without any major damage. I told him I could even show him the pics to prove it (although I would have had to find that thread on here).

Good find Will!!!
I LOVE that thread!!!
Thanks for the hard work on that one oge14!!!

I realize it now. Thats the one I got coming too. The pain!!!!!

By the way, a little update on my situation...the knife is still not here!!!!
I'm gonna utilize a method I learned in college, when something isn't getting done, drink till it gets done.

Cheers!!!
