I saw Dave Canterbury using a Basic 11 tonight I believe. It's nice to see them using some quality tools for once.

I like the show overall but sometimes it is just too dramatic. The nuggets of knowledge that Cody and Dave share are nice sometimes though. They also do a lot of innovative bush craft techniques that I enjoy watching.

Nice catch

I was about to start the same thread in a minute :o

Yeah, I'm just always on the lookout for the B11 I guess. I got the BWM and loved it and based on reviews the B11 is even better. One day a B11 with a jungle green blade will be mine!

Hey Tony , you beat me to the post ... I saw that too...tanker grey B11 ....I have a green one , love it

I saw it too, tried to pause and frame forward to catch it but there were a few real nice shots towards the end when they were eating the tortoise... I pointed it out to my wife and she laughed at me :(
:D I am really enjoying the show, it's fun, makes me want to go camping. :D

I too, just sat down to start the same thread. Sorta suspected someone would beat me to it though.

Hey I'm in NY too InquisitorLord. If you're anywhere near the capital region send me a message and we can camp. I go every weekend up to the Adirondacks to do some fishing and practice my bush craft.

what sheath did he use :)

It looked like a basic cordura machete sheath to me.

Yup, nothing special. At first I thought he was using the BHK Machete because of the sheath, it threw me off until I saw it was a B-11

I don't think so! there is a machete out there that looks very close to a basic 11, unless someone can get a close up frozen shot I think it is something other than a basic 11. As a matter of fact I think it is not a Busse at all, but if someone can prove me wrong I will say I am wrong.

If you like the show check out Self Reliance Illustrated. It's a great mag started by Dave Canterbury and Blind Horse Knives. Unfortunately I'm still at work , but I'll watch it in the morning from dvr. Last week they had a Halibus bushtool.

I just watched it, awesome, talon hole & everything toward the end when he cooks the turtle, he lays some of the meat on the Blade, you can see the tale tale handle, talon hole & even the BUSSE logo.

He was also walking around Blade on Saturday.

Thought about stopping him but he had a crowd.
