I've got experience with the Basic 11 but am wondering how it compares to the B10LE......

What are your preferences between these two and why?:)

As always, comparison pics would be great!!

B11 if you want more of a chopper and/or you plan on piggybacking with a smaller blade.

10LE if weight is a concern, and you only want to carry one do-all knife.

This sounds like a pretty good answer to me....

I don't have much interest in doing piggyback setups, as I'd just assume have the smaller knife on the belt.

Great stuff so far guys, keep it coming......:)

I know someone's got comparison pics to be shown...

The original basic handles are the same handles as whats on the b10le, only with a heat pressed pattern on the sides. It does create a very slightly thinner handle, but they are similar enough that you might not care about the differences as much as the difference in balance. The basic 11 has more weight forward of the handle. It also has a choil, which can be good if you like that grip or sharpening feature, but bad if you hate wasted space. The b10 is more compact with no wasted space other than the gaurd. It's lighter and more neutral balanced but still an excellent chopper.

If you want the heavier chopper possible and don't mind the choil, the basic 11 is better. Keep in mind that it's edge is thicker and your going to have to thin it out a bit to get the same performance at the actual cut as the basic 10 LE. If you want a compact lighter weight more versatile model, the Basic 10LE has thinner geometry and a slightly lighter form with more neutral balance.

Both are awesome knives; the B10 feels faster in the hand and has a fantastic grind, the B11 is more some like a heavy chopper compared to the B10.
I like them both..........my advice; get a 10 two:)

i personally prefer the B11... there's no good reason for it. It's just the one i like the most.

I'd pick the 10 because of the satin finish. Makes it more hygienic for food prep and looks better.

I have both. Like others said, the 11 is a better chopper and the 10 is better balanced and more a do all knife. The 11 and a 4-5 " belt knife make a awesome combo!!!!

Common question, already answered a long time ago.
