Hello, Busse noob here,

Just got my B11 today and decided to strip it. I couldn't believe the nice satin finish the coating was hiding. Having stripped a Waki, Rmd, and HR only to reveal a raw grey finish, this was a very pleasant surprise. The spine needs a little polish on the bench grinder but it's ready to go. Are all coated Busse' this nice looking after stripping? I'll order the LMIW foot long sheath and will either remove the bottom screw or drill a new hole .25" lower to prevent the blade from rubbing on the screw.

I think it being full flat ground helped...

I can tell you, that no, not all are as clean looking under the finish.

Instead of getting the Foot Long go for the John Holmes. It will fit the B11 with no mods.

That looks great. So this is kinda a dumb question but are the Busse logos laser engraved or stamped?

Looks good to me. I need to go and beat mine some more so I can strip it! It would be easier to take the knife with me if I had a sheath but that will be taken care of soon.
