Basic #3 Smooth old compared to Crinkle Coat diff size

My smooth old beater #3 is much smaller than my Crinkle coat.
The Crinkle #3 will not begin to fit the old Kydex sheaths.
Comparing different batches of Busse Knives, I have seen a lot of
size differences and handle differences batch to batch.
So if you don't like one, pick up another you might be happy.
More like a custom knife than a production knife. ;)
 
I had no idea! Thanks for pointing that out :)

I can think of two possible reasons for this size difference:

  1. Customer input suggested a slightly larger BB3 would be more useful.
  2. When Jerry was making out the design for the crinkle coat BB3, CBL had a lot of input :p

Yeah I've got two basic fives in the same configuration
I always wondered why one was shorter than the other.
 
Belive me I know about the differances they have been driving me crazy for over a year now!!!!!!:mad: & it is not only the Basics that are this way.Different yes but still the sweetest knives out there = Busse:D
