Basic 5″ Field Knife?

What sort of general timeframe will these become available? The text describes it as being cheaper than my FK2. What sort of price range are we talking about? Or put another way, how much money each month do I need to put aside to be in position to get one when they go on sale! :)

It looks like that knife would be a great complement to my thinner (non-CPK) knife I use Overlanding and Camping.

Is it a candidate for Magnacut or is it only available in 3V?

Interested in any general feedback regarding this knife and its use, whether pre-production and prototyping or, other similar early testing as well.

A version in cruwear was made and sold. It's an excellent knife. I believe Nathan said a magnacut version would be sold at some point, but I'm hazy on the details. If I'm wrong someone please correct me.

In my experience the BFK feels more sleek and agile in hand. The scales are profiled a little differently (less contouring) than the FK2 scales. This actually fits my hand better and makes the BFK more comfortable to handle. It almost feels "quicker" when indexing, if that makes sense.

The FK2 has a little more belly on the blade, but the BFK has over an inch more in length. Either knife will serve you well and be excellent at any task suitable for a knife with a 4-6 inch blade.

The preorder was open on August 11, 2023, and is now closed. As usual when production starts they will also be sold in the weekly Friday sales at the same time the preorders are being filled.

It is hard to say when that will be, but the K20 and Shiv preorders came before the BFK preorder, so I would assume once those runs are complete, the BFK would be next.
 
These have already been available in a couple batches. They will next become available as part of the recent preorder (unless CPK have some still available for Friday sales).

Preorder thread may not exactly correspond to what becomes available in the eventual regular Friday sales but you should be able to find most of the information about the differences between the BFK, SS FK3, rough pricing etc here:
