Basic 7, Camp Tramp pics?

I just got a Camp Tramp. Does anyone have a pic that compares a CT to a Basic 7? Especially a spine shot. How does the thickness compare? Does the 7 keep it's thickness all the way out, or is there some distal taper? thanks!
 
i will in a few days when i get my Basic 7. I believe they are the same overall thickness and the CT has a wider blade.

If only I had known, I could have gotten you that pic before sending the CT off. Oh well...

My Basic 7 in just over .26" at the handles. About 2" from the tip, she is right at .24". And IIRC, and of course I'm just going by memory here, the CT feels heavier. Whether that is b/c she really is heavier or instead because she carries her weight out front, I can't say. I'd give you the weight on my Basic 7, but I don't have an accurate enough scale here. Hopefully, I helped somewhat regardless.

Upload your pics to Photobucket, then just paste the image tag here, directly in your message. Or email them to me, and I will post them for you.

The CT is just a little heavier overall and the balance point is about 1cm further out. The Basic has a thinner profile too.

Thanks all for the help! I am sure that you are are right, that the CT feels heavier. Both knives may be the same thickness at the ricasso, but the CT has a broader blade, and with the sabre grind, carries more weight out front. It probably feels like more of a chopper, while the 7 might be more neutral.

I guess I'll have to get a 7 and find out. :D

silverdragon33, thanks for the pic. Under each thumbnail in Photobucket, you will see four bits of code for the image tags.
