Yes, Busse has discontinued the Basic models, the quick answer to your question is because they used all the current stock of Mod-INFI and it was cost prohibitive to have more produced. Check out Roger at Bayou Lafourche- he's got excellent prices and service, and I know he had at least a Basic 7 in stock recently.
