Basic Member Again? WTF?

I just had trouble with a BF feature and then realized it was because my Gold membership ran out and I've become a
BASIC member again!

What? No warning email? No opportunity to renue?

I get magazines where they send me renewal bills before I even get my first magazine and BF can't send me a renewal notice?

OK. OK. I'll renew, but I wish I could've done it GRACEFULLY so I didn't ever have that blasted "basic" word above my avatar.

I'm so embarrassed!
Can't I just sign up or life and never have to go through this humiliation again?

(Nothing against BF. I'm just playing and being silly. But I DO wish there WAS a warning of some sort. It would be a cool feature to add. I would've taken advantage of it if it were there. Just a suggestion.)

After you renew, your renewal date will show in your profile.
Many didn't show before the upgrade, and they are taking care of that on an individual basis as each person renews.

Yipes, I just noticed mine expired too. I sure hope 1SKS waives their "no international credit card orders" policy for my Gold membership renewal .

We're more embarrassed than you are, fulloflead. Sorry about that ... the software screwed up, quite a while ago but we're still feeling the effects.

Maybe I should institute a "Lifetime" membership - $300 up front and if you get banned, tough noogies.

Anyhow, memberships is the only exception to the no credit cards from internationals rule guys.
