Basic membership about to expire - have a gold membership but that is still gtg

So like a lot of folks I registered with a basic membership. A couple of months later I registered gold. Now the basic is about to expire but the gold is still gtg. I am thinking that there is no need to renew the basic as i will renew the gold when that comes up.

Just making sure that there is nothing I have to do until the gold comes up for renewal, and that my account is not suspended if I let the basic run out.

Your Gold membership is good by itself. No Basic is required. I have been Platinum Prude - or is it PG Platinum? - for a long time with no Basic membership that I know of. Rock on.

At one point, I bought a gold and then upgraded to platinum about 6-8 months later. I ended up having gold and platinum both for a short time. Then one day it got prorated and could only select platinum and registered user. That was a couple of major updates ago, things might be different nowadays.

OK - thanks for the info folks. Kinda what I expected so no worries about losing the basic membership then.
