Basic membership

hey all.. I’m coming back on here after a few year hiatus when my interests moved to other things and my child was born so I can’t remember all the rules. I’m having trouble finding information on privileges for basic members. I used to be a gold member but I’m exclusively a collector and don’t sell what I purchase.
So my question is do I need a paid membership to buy on the forum or can I do that as a basic member? I did a few searches but didn’t see anything pertaining to this and I don’t want to break any rules in thi community I respect so much. Any help would be appreciated.

You can most definitely buy knives without a paid membership, but you only have access to private contact methods if you have a paid membership, so to communicate as a non-paying member you either have to post in the thread or use the profile message option which is publicly visible.

You get private message access with even the lowest level of paid membership, the Basic membership, and that's just $10 a year; but your message storage is pretty limited.
