If I upgraded to a Basic Membership could I attach photos to a topic post directly from my hard drive or floppy drive or, would I need a further upgrade?
 
Its a lot easier to use Photobucket to host your pictures. You can't link directly to your hard drive unless you have some sort of server available.

Correct, you can't link to the computer, but, what I want to do is upload photos from my drive to the forum. Can you do that with the Basic Membership?
 
Don't think so. Picture posting instruction are in the sticky thread at the top captioned "READ THIS FIRST".

Yes. If you get a Basic Membership a "manage attachments" button will appear under the box you type your posts into. Whenever you click that button you will find yourself browsing your hard drive for the picture you want to upload. There are limits on file size but you can upload your pix directly from your hard drive to the Bladeforums servers, much more conveniently than going to a hosting site somewhere else on the net.

Higher membership levels get more space to store photos, and other privileges that you're not necessarily going to be as interested in. Click on "Upgrade your forums experience, and help support this site" at the top of the page for membership details.
