Basic size - 105 vs. 117?

Is the handle (grip) size the same between the 105 and the 117? Just wondering about the grip circumference and grip length between the two knives... Based on pictures, they appear to be the same. Also, is the blade depth (Not length or thickness, but top to bottom - or cutting edge to spine) basically the same? I know the length of the blade on the 105 is 5" vs. 4-1/2" on the 117.
My interest (priority) could be swayed from the 117 over to the 105...
Yesterday, I ordered a 120 in Cocobolo Dymondwood with brass handle for the sale price from C & C. The 105 is on sale for a really good price as well, and was thinking about adding one to my collection vs. a 117 (which isn't on sale). I rather prefer the clip point blade of the 117, 119, 120 over the 105. However, the 105 blade design is very nice too.

I knew I wanted them all so I bought each one as I found it on sale. The clip point blades speak to me because they are classic American knives. They just make my heart go pitter patter.

The sweeping blades are the more practical users I think. They appeal to me because they are (at least in my mind) original Buck designs. You can tell some thought went into their shape.

you really can’t go wrong at this point. They are all good choices.

Guess you will have to wait for someone with both to answer. I have the 117 i got to go with my 120 and 119. The 105 and all the others are always on my radar. I am a big fan of the fixed clip points with the fuller groove.

Buy it.
You'll love it.
If nothing else, get it in black phenolic as that's a great price for that.
You can always send it back, but you won't.

I didn’t mean to ignore your question in my reply. I just don’t have them handy. I’ll check tonight if nobody else answers you.

These are pics I had in my phone.
I think the handles are pretty comparable...
I actually gave my 105 away last week hunting. My friend wanted a new hunting knife and from everything I had with me, he chose my 105........
It's cool, I can get another, and it made him happy.

Good comparison, Ida picked the 105 as well.

Alright, the sale price on the 105 from C&C was too good to pass on, so I ordered one (Brass/Cocobolo Dymondwood). Over the past couple of days I guess the aesthetics of it's blade shape won me over - as it really has an elegant look (if you can use that term for a knife). I might end up with a 117 down the road, but I think I'm done buying any new knives until after Christmas (famous last words). The 105 will make 8 Bucks in my collection to date.
Anyway, Thanks for ll the input...

By ordering a 105, you're half way there! Now all you need to do is post in the Pathfinder Club thread and tell us about it. Photo is optional, but always welcomed. :)
