Basic Sword

Here's my latest piece, simple, strong, tough, sharp... I call it "The Basic"

S-7 as usual, 1/4" thick but under 2lb 6oz, 36 1/2" overall

point of balance is a little over 3 inches in front of the turk's head

My "neoskin" wrap, vacuum-epoxy-impregnated.

I did enjoy the old days of making clunky SSOs but these lighter, livelier swords are wonderful to handle.

Yes the saya is bamboo, made from strips laminated together.
