Hi Everybody,

I recently traded into a Basic 7 :)

So I got all my basics together for a photo shoot.

Post up what you all have currently :) This should be fun.

Basic
11
waiting on my 10 LE :)
9
7(not my sheath, I believe it is a On scene Tactical (normark))
6 LE
5
3

I am most looking forward to the Basic 4 with the WD handle.
Jerry told a cool story about how that handle came to be at Blade this year.

Do you still have that B-5 with large talon hole, the bottom one ? :)

I'll trade you a Bear Cub for the B5 ;)

Tempting but that is my favorite Basic, next to the 9 and then the 11 and then the 3 and then the 4 and then the 10 and then.........
which Bear Cub :)

Yes I do, only one gone is one of the smooth coat B-3s.

I plan on keeping them & you already got my HACK Bear Cub ;):D

And last, but not least, My 3 B9s, one NIB, one with a sweet clip point and swedge thanks to the previous owner, and my newest one

I had a B5, but I let it go to a more loving (abusive :D) home. I do need a B7, and another B5, just for good measure

I forgot to add I have a B10LE coming too! D'OH!

Quick question how do you tell if the edge is asymmetric?

Thanks, Rob

LOL, I was going to ask you if it was an Asym.

The logo side edge is v-grind the non-logo side the edge ~.200 wide. The Basics in my picture are all wide side up, the group shot, narrow side up.

The B-11 in my picture is a sage asym with a LMIW sheath like yours.

Ya got good taste :D

Rob,

Some of the "flat" side bevels are a little more pronounced than on this one, and some of the convex side bevels are less so, but this gives you the idea.

Never get tired of seeing Jimmy's Basics--nice stash there, too, David!

I have a Vague, alcohol blurred memory of some Basic #5's that were Factory Symmetrically Ground, two #7's as well as a few "Left Handed" ground Asym's(mostly #9's)

I think I am down to two sets of the old(one user and one SafeQueens) Basics, they used to be my most Favorite Busse to give as a gift.

The most under rated and under priced Busse knives, you can still buy the #9 for roughly the same as retail at the time of Manufacture.

The first of the Factory discounted Busse Production knives.

Hummmmmm........ when were these Basic 3's for sale ? Will there be a Basic 4 or 4.5 ? I would like to see something similar to a CS Master Hunter with res-c handles for skinning purposes as I always liked the Master Hunter but no longer have mine since I found Busse/Kin.

Mmmmmmm. Basics. :)

I once had more Basics than I had years of life. And I was 51 years old at that time. Now most have been sold to fellow Hogs. Here are some pics of Basics I have owned or presently possess.

I have a Basic 11 that I stripped and Norcalblacktail convexed the edge for me and one that Oeser satined. I just scored a S5Le on the exchange. For me the basic handle works best for a chopper.

I have a b11, b6 le, and a b3. hopefully after tonight I'll have a couple b4's on order :)

you guys have some killer collections
