Basket weave pearl 110

Tom,
I think that Joe Houser may have to answer questions about a special run like this, but I think that you got a fair deal. The basket weave pattern looks nice.

Thanks Mike....I have seen a few of them sell on ebay and the other one I bid on went for about $75, so this was a better deal. There was a nice white pearl (plastic) but it was not a Buck made handle, I believe this one is.....it looks nice...I would have perfered nickel silver like my two stags, but still looks good....

Joe I bid on that knife but I didn't get it. Boy, lucky for me. I thought it was a Buck handle! I believe it was 2006 issue.

Welcome back Mike! Missed ya and Joe...now we need John (JB4570) back too!

I've been seeing a lot of basket weave 110 stuff on that auction site lately. That is a nice pattern and I would try to get one if they ever had one in pickle silver bolsters.

WELCOME BACK FIVE O !!! ...It's a nice knife but that "basket weave" on it,and all of it's "brothers that I've seen on the "Bay", just didn't "do it" for me. I'm much too much of a traditionalist to be enamoured by that type of scale treatment. But it is a 110...

It makes my 25 th model 110 they are all wood except for two Stags, so I wanted something different....I hope I like it when it gets here...time will tell....

:) ...I'm sure you'll like it Tom...I always steer clear of knives like that until I get one in my hands...LOL...then I tend to change my tune...  ...If I don't have one I can say I don't like 'em...just like "fixed blades"...LMBO...:D

Thanks Darryl...I am bidding on four different Generals. ( Modle 120)...I have one of them and four Model 119s but want to add a few 120s to the collection.....hope to win one or two of them also....

Sarah at Buck Knives didn't think the basketweave handles were done by Buck. She figured they were done by someone else and even asked someone and he couldn't remember ever doing any like that. They do look nice though and I do think the wood is the original handle.

oops! I wasn't paying attention to which one you were talking about and my response was for the wood handled ones. There is a bunch of different ones right now and I'm not sure who is doing the work but I don't think it is Buck though. I may be wrong. Maybe Joe will let us know.

if it has a number on the brass then i dont think buck did it...
as buck to my knolage has not put sn's on the brass.

I received an email from the seller of these knives. He stated that they are not Buck Knives originals. He didn't specify who customized them though.
Still neat if you want to buy one!

Just got the knife today....very nice knife and good quailty work on the handles....the knife looks as shown in the Ebay pics
