Basket weave with Oosik handle

This is a large hunter with a Oosik handle, Damascus guard with file work. I have been working hard on controlling the pattern on my Damascus and It is starting to come together.

That looks great, nice work. I'd love to see a clearer pic of the butt, the texture of the oosic looks interesting.

Hey beau I thought it wasent to bad. I got it from bill at the branson show and he explained to me that even tho it looked bad it would finish really nice. I worked it about the same as any bone. It takes a polish reall nice.

I'd thought about getting something but ended up with something else from him =P
Just gonna have to make something real nice to put it on ;-)
 
Is the guard made from the same basket weave? I've come back and looked 3 or 4 times but I can't tell.

Hello This guard is not basket weave, I found that the basket weave dosent show up to well because the pattern is so bold. This was twist damascus
