baskethilt broadsword

I'm in the market for a scottish baskethilt broadsword, backsword is ok too. Any recommendations for a battleready sword? I definitely do not want a wall hanger. I've heard mixed reviews on Cold Steel and CAS Hanwei, are there any other mass manufacturers I should look at? Unfortunately I don't have time to wait for a custom blade so that option is out.

Interesting but I'm really looking for the scottish swords (of Scottish descent). Any thoughts on the Paul Chen of Hanwei swords?

If it was me and I was looking for a basket hilt and couldn't get one by Eljay Ericcson or Vince Evans I'd try Rob Miller of Castle Keep:

Failing that I've heard that these from Armour Class are reasonably decent:

Notably both of these manufacturers / makers are actually in Scotland instead of China.
